Simtex needle-punched non-woven fabric

Simtex is Shakti Group's own brand of needle-punched non-woven fabric, manufactured on our dedicated needling line at our sixth plant in Kanpur — a facility built specifically for this production.

The fabric is produced from recycled PET fibre using a purely mechanical process: barbed needles reciprocate through a loose fibre web at high speed, entangling the fibres into a cohesive structure without adhesives, binders, or thermal bonding agents. What you receive is a fabric whose structure is entirely mechanical — dimensionally stable, consistently lofted across its full width, and unaffected by the chemical interactions that adhesive or thermally bonded non-wovens introduce downstream.

We customise to your specification — GSM, thickness, and construction are all built to the requirement of your application rather than picked from a fixed range.

Applications

Where Simtex is specified

01

Safety & Occupational Footwear

Used as shoe lining fabric and insole base substrate. Dimensional stability and consistent loft make it reliable across high-volume, tight-tolerance production. Compatible with standard flame and adhesive lamination, so it drops into existing lines without process changes.

LINING · INSOLE BASE
02

Geotextile

Heavier GSM constructions are specified for separation, filtration, and drainage layers in civil construction, infrastructure, and land management. The binder-free construction matters here — long-term chemical stability in soil contact.

SEPARATION · FILTRATION · DRAINAGE
03

Industrial & Automotive

Automotive trunk liners and interior textile applications, general industrial non-woven components, and packaging where a mechanically bonded fabric is the appropriate material.

Why Simtex

Manufactured, not sourced

01

We manufacture it — we don't source it

Simtex is produced on our own needle-punch looms. Lead times are controlled at our end, lot-to-lot consistency is a function of our own process control, and adjustments to GSM or construction are production decisions — not procurement problems to solve with a third party.

02

Available pre-laminated

For buyers who need Simtex laminated to a face fabric, we produce the composite in-house. Our needle-punch line and lamination lines are on the same site — the non-woven comes off the loom and goes straight into lamination without leaving the facility.

03

Production capacity

250,000 Metres per month

The sixth plant was built to produce at this scale. Buyers with consistent volume requirements will find our capacity accommodates them without the lead-time volatility that comes from a supplier running non-woven production as a secondary activity on shared equipment.
