4.2 — PUR LAMINATED FABRICS

Reactive adhesive laminates for applications where standard bonding is not sufficient.

PUR lamination produces a bond chemically distinct from standard adhesive lamination. The moisture-reactive polyurethane adhesive cures through a crosslinking reaction that forms a permanent film between the two substrates — one that does not soften under heat, does not break down through repeated wash cycles, and does not delaminate under the sustained mechanical stress of flexion.

This makes PUR the specified process for waterproof footwear constructions, where a breathable or waterproof membrane must maintain integrity through the repeated flexion of walking; for defence and industrial PPE fabrics, where chemical exposure and wash resistance are non-negotiable; and for technical outerwear where longevity across wash cycles is part of the product's value proposition.

PUR also delivers the thinnest bond line of any of our lamination processes. Where the drape and softness of the face fabric must be retained in the finished composite, PUR is the appropriate choice.
